Can I choose who is the sender of the reference check?

If your organisation wants to control which email address is used to send communication to candidates and referees, this can be managed on a project level.

To learn more and activate this feature, an administrator needs to contact Refapp Support or their Customer Success Manager.

Go to the Security and Privacy section in the project settings. In the field “Sender for emails and SMS messages” you can select the user who should appear as the sender in the emails and SMS messages sent to the candidate and referees. The person must have a user account in Refapp to be selectable, but does not need to be active in Refapp. If your organisation has a shared recruitment email, you can, for example, set that as the sender and then allow multiple recruiters to collaborate in the same project.

  • The email address needs to be a real one since candidates and referees may contact it.
  • This setting only controls the sender displayed in the communication, while all notification emails are still sent to the user who initiated the communication.
  • If you are working from an ATS, the sender will still be the user who sends out the communication from there, unless you are working with project templates.
  • Booking requests for phone calls will be sent to the user who sent out the communication. If you want the sender to be able to take calls, you can combine this with the Phone Call Handler feature.
