Use the Refapp help center in Microsoft Copilot

Add Refapp Help to Microsoft Copilot and get answers about Refapp straight from our help center

Refapp Help connects Microsoft Copilot to Refapp's help center. Ask how something in Refapp works, and Copilot answers from our articles and links to the one it used. For example: "How do I pause reminders to a referee?" or "What does the status Review needed mean?"

Refapp Help only reads help center articles and Refapp's status descriptions. It can't see your Refapp account, projects or candidates, and needs no sign-in.

Microsoft Copilot users can't add connectors themselves. Someone who builds agents in your organization's Copilot Studio adds Refapp Help to an agent once and publishes it to Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams. Send this article to your IT department.

Before you start

  • The person building the agent needs a Copilot Studio license.
  • Your organization's data policies (DLP) in the Power Platform admin center must allow the server https://help-mcp.refapp.com/mcp
  • Making the agent available to everyone needs approval from a Microsoft 365 admin.

Create the agent in Copilot Studio

  1. Create a new agent and name it Refapp Help.
  2. As instructions, paste: Answer questions about how Refapp works using the Refapp Help tools. Search in the user's language, always include the link to the help article, and use the status tool to explain Refapp statuses.
  3. Go to Tools, click Add a tool, then New tool, then Model Context Protocol.
  4. Enter Refapp Help as server name, Answers how Refapp works, from the Refapp help center as description, and https://help-mcp.refapp.com/mcp as server URL.
  5. Set Authentication to None, click Create, then Add to agent.
  6. Test it in the test pane: ask "How do I pause reminders to a referee?"

Publish it to Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams

  1. Publish the agent.
  2. Under Channels, choose Teams and Microsoft Copilot, tick Make agent available in Microsoft Copilot and click Add channel.
  3. Share it with colleagues, or choose Show to everyone in my org and submit it for admin approval.

Use it In Microsoft 365 Copilot or Teams, type @, pick Refapp Help and ask your question.

What Copilot can do with Refapp Help

  • Search the help center in English, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish
  • Read a full article and summarize it
  • Explain what a candidate, project or background check status means

What happens to the questions

Questions go to Refapp's server, which searches our help center. The help center is hosted by HubSpot, so the search words are passed on to HubSpot's site search. Neither Refapp nor the connector stores the questions. Read more in our privacy policy.
