Use the Refapp help center in ChatGPT

Add Refapp Help to ChatGPT and get answers about Refapp straight from our help center

Refapp Help connects ChatGPT to Refapp's help center. Ask how something in Refapp works, and ChatGPT answers from our articles and links to the one it used. For example: "How do I pause reminders to a referee?" or "What does the status Review needed mean?"

Refapp Help only reads help center articles and Refapp's status descriptions. It can't see your Refapp account, projects or candidates, and you don't need to sign in.

Before you start

  • You need ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu.
  • Adding a custom MCP server needs the Create plugins with MCPs permission. On Business, only admins and owners have it; on Enterprise and Edu, your admin decides. If you can't find the option in step 1, ask your ChatGPT admin.

Add Refapp Help to ChatGPT

  1. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins and click +, then Add custom MCP server.
  2. Name it Refapp Help. As description, write: Answers how Refapp works, from the Refapp help center.
  3. Under Connection, paste https://help-mcp.refapp.com/mcp as Server URL.
  4. Choose No authentication.
  5. Click I understand and want to continue, then Create as a plugin.
  6. Install Refapp Help from your personal plugins.

ChatGPT admins can publish Refapp Help to the whole workspace, so each user doesn't have to add it.

Use it Start a new chat, type @, pick Refapp Help and ask your question.

What ChatGPT can do with Refapp Help

  • Search the help center in English, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish
  • Read a full article and summarize it
  • Explain what a candidate, project or background check status means

What happens to your questions

Your questions go to Refapp's server, which searches our help center. The help center is hosted by HubSpot, so the search words are passed on to HubSpot's site search. Neither Refapp nor the connector stores your questions. Read more in our privacy policy.
