Statuses in Refapp
Once a background check has been initiated, you can track its status for the candidate within Refapp. As soon as any part of the process is updated, the status is updated as well.

| Started, wating for the candidate | Verification has begun; waiting for the candidate to verify their identity |
| Background check in progress | In progress |
| Approved | Background check complete, no discrepancies |
| Review needed | Background check complete, information in the report needs to be reviewed |
| Background check in progress - Show result | Background check partly done, approved |
| Review of the partially completed report is possible | Background check partly done, approved |
| Not approved | Background check complete; the recruiter has reviewed the report and marked it as not approved |
Statuses in the report
The background check report lists four possible statuses.

Check completed; the check revealed discrepancies that need to be reviewed |
| ⚙️Pending | Some sections of the report are incomplete. We are awaiting responses from, for example, government agencies and/or educational institutions. |
If any part of the report has a status indicating that it needs review or contains anomaies, the status in Refapp will be “Review needed” and the person in the organization with the necessary permissions to review background checks will receive a notification to review the report.
