How do I start the reference check from Refapp after the issues on the app platform?

Our email provider experienced issues affecting some email deliveries on our app platform yesterday, 30/09/2025. This issue is now resolved. Here is a guide on how to send out the reference check again from Refapp.

The issue was resolved on 30/09/2025 17:05 CET. Some emails to candidates and referees might not have been sent out during the day. 

If you started a reference check yesterday, some emails might not have been sent to candidates and referees.  To check if your reference check was affected, go to the candidate in Refapp, either by logging in via the website or clicking the link to candidate in your recruitment system. 

Double-check if the candidate has either an ongoing reference request or has submitted their referee. SMS sendouts were not affected, so most candidates should have been contacted via SMS. If their page is empty, they have not gotten any communication, and you need to send out the request manually:

Double-check if all referees have been contacted by clicking on the candidate. To send out the email manually, press the email symbol.
