How do I manage my notifications in Refapp?

As a user in Refapp you’ll receive notifications from the system with updates about your processes, as well as, notifications if any issues have occurred in your checks. 

All notifications from Refapp are sent to the email your user has connected to Refapp. If you need to change your email address in Refapp contact Refapp support to get assistance! 

Notifications with error messages: 

If any of the following errors happen in your processes, you receive an email with information about the issue sent to your email connected to Refapp. 

  • Issues when trying to contact a candidate. If an email is incorrect, a phone number is incorrect, or if there are any other issues when trying to contact a candidate through Refapp information will be sent to your email. 
  • Issues when trying to contact a referee. If an email is incorrect, a phone number is incorrect, or if there are any other issues when trying to contact a candidate through Refapp information will be sent to your email.

Notifications with updates on your process: 

As a user of Refapp you'll receive a number of email notifications to ensure that you are on top of things in your processes. You can manage your preferences and how many email notifications you wish to receive in Refapp by accessing your Refapp profile. 

  • Email me a daily summary of notifications: This email contains a summary of notifications from all the reference checks you are participating in. The email is sent daily with a collection of updates on your projects. The email is only sent if something new has happened during the day. 

  • Email me when a response has been received: This email is sent as soon as a reference has answered one of the checks you are participating in. 
    • Email me only when a response includes a lead: The email is sent only if an answer from a reference also includes their interest in being contacted by your organization as a lead. Read more in this article. 
  • Email me when a candidate has submitted all referees: This email is sent as soon as a candidate has submitted all requested referees in any of the projects that you are participating in. 
  • Email me when a new report is available: This email is sent as soon as a finished reference report is available in any of the projects that you are participating in. 
  • Remind me via email 15 minutes before booked meetings: This email will be sent with a reminder to you 15 minutes before a booked reference call.
