How do I use the integration between Refapp and Fountain?

Configuring Refapp for Fountain

The Fountain integration uses Project Templates for reference check settings. To read more on how to set up and use project templates with an ATS, follow this guide.

Add Refapp to the Workflow Editor

1. Navigate to the Workflow Editor for the Job.
2. Click Add Stage → Create a new stage.
3. Select Refapp Partner Stage as the stage type. You may give the Title as per your choice.
   
   
4. Select Add Stage.
5. Press the refresh symbol by the dropdown menu to fetch your project templates from Refapp.
6. Select which project template to use for this opening in the dropdown menu under Stage Option Type.

       7.   Click on Save Changes to complete the integration process. 

Using Refapp through Fountain

1. Start by navigating to the opening in Fountain. Click the three dots on the applicant, Move to Stage, and then select the Refapp stage.
   
   
2. Confirm by pressing Submit in the box that appears. 
3. A project will then automatically be created in Refapp, and the candidate will be added to the project. The status will update inside Fountain, where you can follow the progress of the reference check under Status. You can also click on Partner details to see more information.
   
   
4. Once all references have replied, the status will update in Fountain, and you can press the status to access the finished reference check report.
   
   

Additional workflow settings

For a more streamlined workflow, you can add additional stages in Fountain and set up Partner Rules to automatically progress the workflow during the reference check process.  

1. In your workflow in Fountain, add two more stages, one for Reference check In progress and one for Reference check Completed.
   
   
2. In your first Refapp Stage, press Add rule.
3. Set up a rule for automatically moving the candidate to the In progress stage, when the Refapp status has updated to In progress. Press Save Changes. 
   
   
4.  Go to the In progress stage and Add a rule for automatically moving the candidate to the Completed stage once the Refapp status has been updated to completed. Save Changes to finish your workflow.
