To increase the security and validity of your reference check, Refapp offers the opportunity to have the references verified via BankID, LinkedIn, Vipps or Facebook. Verification is generally voluntary for referees, and the reference check can be made without verification.
Mandatory verification
Suppose you as a company wants to increase the referee's probability of verifying. In that case, there is a function where the verification is mandatory, and if the referee can not verify themself, they must state why they can proceed with the reference checking. Contact Refapp's support and ask us to turn it on to activate this function.
In the reference report, you can view the reason why a reference was unable to verify their identity. To do this, hover your mouse over the icon with a cross next to the referee's name in the report.
