How do I automatically archive inactive projects?
Over time, large accounts collect many projects that nobody works on anymore, which makes the active ones hard to find. As an administrator, you can let Refapp archive these projects automatically, so your project list only shows the projects your team is working on.
Note: Only company administrators can change this setting. It applies to all projects in your company.
How do I turn on automatic archiving?
- Go to Company settings.
- Select General.
- Switch on Automatically archive projects with no activity for [90] days.
- Enter the number of days a project can be without activity before it is archived. The default is 90 days.
- Click Save.

What happens when the setting is on?
Every morning, Refapp checks your company's projects and archives all projects that have had no activity for the number of days you have chosen.
- Archived projects are moved out of your active project list.
- If your ATS (applicant tracking system) sends a new candidate to an archived project, the project becomes active again automatically.
How do I turn off automatic archiving?
- Switch off Automatically archive projects with no activity for [90] days.
- Click Save.
Projects that have already been archived stay archived.
Tip: Want to clean up right away instead of waiting until the next morning?
